Dreamy Elopement in the Grampians: As Seen in Together Journal

“We haven’t got enough good things to say about Morgan. He accompanied us for our elopement, and made the whole experience fun and relaxed, whilst also capturing absolutely magical photos.

It was really important that our photographer was good company, given we had no guests, and he was a genuine pleasure to have involved in our day. He listened to our vision and demonstrated to us he knew what we were after, so we were happy to let him do his thing.

My wife and I are not comfortable in front of the camera, so Morgan gave us some loose instructions, but he largely just let us be ourselves and soak up the atmosphere. His approach made the day enjoyable, and the end products were better than we could have hoped for. We will cherish our photos for life, and we are extremely thankful to Morgan for everything he has given us.” – John Hood

Bek and John’s Grampians elopement was the kind of day that reminds you why simple is so good. No fuss, no rush – just the two of them, a breathtaking mountain backdrop, and a few thoughtful details that made it all feel so them. They swapped vows surrounded by wild landscapes, cosy cabins, and that crisp mountain air – the perfect recipe for an intimate day that felt like a real escape.

Planning the Perfect Elopement

Bek and John knew exactly what they wanted for their day – something stress-free, a little adventure, and a lot of meaning. A Grampians elopement was the perfect fit. Wild views, cosy spots to stay, and nature all around to soak it in.

Finding the right photographer was top of their list too – someone who got their vibe: fun, relaxed, and focused on all the in-between moments.

Adding Personal Touches

Bek and John sprinkled personal touches through every part of their day. Bek’s dress was custom-made just how she’d pictured it – full of texture and a bit of romance. John wore a woolly suit (perfect for that chilly mountain air) and added a pair of custom cufflinks with their dog’s face on them – such a sweet nod. He even had a boutonniere made from kookaburra feathers. Every detail made their Grampians elopement feel completely them.

Bek and John’s Grampians elopement was everything a wedding day should be – relaxed, beautiful, and full of love. The mountains made the perfect backdrop for a celebration that felt completely their own.

If you’re dreaming of an elopement surrounded by nature, the Grampians might just be the spot for you too. And if you’re after someone to document it all, I’d love to be there to help you create something special.
